Central Civil Services Conduct Rules, 1964

Definitions
- Government: Refers to the Central Government.
- Government servant: Any person appointed by the Government to a civil service, including civilians in Defence Service.
- Members of family: Includes spouse, children, and relatives wholly dependent on the Government servant.

General Conduct
- Maintain absolute integrity and devotion to duty.
- Uphold the supremacy of the Constitution and democratic values.
- Act fairly and impartially in all official duties.
- Promote merit-based decisions and maintain transparency.
- Protect public interest and resolve any conflicts appropriately.
Employment of Near Relatives
No government servant shall use his influence to secure a job for any family member in any company or firm with which he has official dealings unless prior sanction is given.

Other Provisions
- Interpretation: Government's decision is final.
