Article 168 - Weekly off to Teachers - Navodaya Education Code 2019:

JNVs function 7 days being residential. To ensure statutory weekly rest: 1) Teachers on Sunday/Holiday duty get weekly off on Saturday of following week, 2) One JSA/SSA shall be available in office on Sunday/Holiday on rotation and gets weekly off on Saturday, 3) Principal may replace/add teachers for Sunday duty based on specific need of JNV, 4) Teaching periods of such teachers should be distributed from Monday to Friday in time-table, 5) Weekly off is given on Saturday only for teachers on Sunday duty, 6) Duty roster ensures equitable distribution.
