Article 167 - Safety & Security Measures For Successful House Management:

To ensure safety of students, JNVs must implement: 1) Fire safety/fighting drills half yearly, 2) Monthly announcements by Principal/HM on safety precautions, 3) Students not to go to roofs - staircase to roof locked, keys with HM, 4) First flight of staircase to overhead tank removed, 5) Students advised not to tamper with electrical fittings, 6) No water stagnation to prevent epidemics, 7) Students to stay away from underground sump/open wells - wells covered with lockable grills, 8) Notice boards with safety points, 9) Daily verification of MOD report by Principal, 10) Monthly medical records update, 11) Daily visit of HM to dormitory, 12) Running water to toilets/bathrooms, 13) Counsellor for emotionally disturbed children, 14) Rotational staff for checking physical hazards, 15) Weekly review meeting of Principal with HMs & House Captains, 16) Vidyalaya Control Register, M&R/Complaint Register, Grievance Box monitored by Principal, 17) Locking dormitory during day & school building at night, 18) Cleaning bushes & adequate lighting, 19) Regulating entry/exit at main gate, 20) Repair of boundary walls, 21) Monthly fumigation, 22) Sick children in MI Room under Staff Nurse, not in dormitories.
